Some of the most memorable moments in a girl’s life are her prom night, 18th birthday, and her wedding. The prom night is one of the most awaited nights in high school. It’s the celebration wherein girls love to dress up on their prom gowns or short dresses, put on their most treasured jewelry and wear the most alluring perfumes. The night is expected to be magical. The guy, who turns out to be the prom date for the night would drive the girl to the venue and then enjoy the whole event with wonderful music, food, drinks and laughter of friends. Secondly, the girl turns to celebrate her 18th birthday. This is very memorable because it signifies her transformation from a plain teen age girl to a legal age woman. This time is celebrated with close friends and family members. When I turned eighteen I really felt liberated. It’s like suddenly earning all my rights as member of the society. This time having a relationship seems more appropriate just like earning your driver’s license. It’s also the right time to behave properly in social gatherings and to act womanly in all of your ways. The time when you step into college and meet more people, expand your horizon to new possibilities and more freedom t o choose what you want. I was in college when I learned how to dress more properly. It was also the time when I learned how to become more fashionable because I felt like there are less clothing inhibitions now and it’s also the time I became independent and live far from my parents to pursue college. After graduation and when I started working, things changed a little bit. This is the time when I learned to value money more because I have to support all my finances now. Being in a corporate word is tough and definitely, time flies fast. I didn’t even know that I’ve been working for seven years now. I’m satisfied, happy and engaged. Sooner or later I’ll be walking down the aisle then exchanging vow with my husband. I guess this is my next challenge. Wedding is really expensive and choosing from wedding gowns are quite not simple. There are so many things to work, from invitations, to the clothes of the entourage, the weeding favors, receptions etc. Our personal savings are also at stake but it doesn’t really matter. For all I know, the moment just happen once.

If there’s no such word as dress and accessories, I would have to accept the fact that I maybe a henpecked secretary already. Having a boss like mine is one of the toughest jobs on earth not to mention my mom who likes giving me her litany of all the house bills. She’s a fan of home TV network which according to her really makes good deals. I couldn’t blame her for I consider myself an online shopper addict too. I can’t help myself from buying all those tempting stuff online. I got buddies from Multiply who are also my suppliers of every fashion stuff, even pre ordered to make sure I got them reserved. My latest obsession is prom dresses. I just find out that there’s this website where I can get loads of cocktail dresses, home coming dresses as well as evening dresses. This is to keep track on their inventories because I couldn’t afford to lose anymore. I also record every purchase to keep up with my bills as well and of course accessories. Funny but I have this ratio, for every two dress I have to have at least a pair of accessories to match them. In the end, I am still thankful to my boss for without her I couldn’t splurge on my caprice.

My sister has been bugging me about what to wear in their upcoming homecoming. The event will be held in a hotel ballroom and she’s starting to get panicky about it.

I am literally my sister’s keeper and we’re indeed closed. It’s maybe due to the fact that we’re just two, along with our mom, a widow on her early 50s. I’m on the peak of my career as the head of the advertising and promotion department in an apparel industry and that gives me all the information about fashion dos and don’ts. I must admit that my job demands much of my time, with all those deadlines to beat, presentations for the board of executives, business trips and even out of the country visits. I love my job and simply because I can have everything a single career woman has ever wanted.

Now, back to my sister who’s five years younger than me; she’s happy working as a nurse in a district hospital. Aside from the regular hospital beds and the emergency room, she’s not really confident when it comes to buying her own clothes.
