My soon to be wife and I were having some petty argument on how our wedding invitations should look like because she wanted it to be as fancy as possible, while I wanted it to be as simple as we could make it, since it will be a formal gathering. She told me that we have to make the appearance fancy because according to her, she is not planning to have another marriage and wants our wedding to be her first and last, so everything should be extravagant. I thought it would not be wise and it seems a bit unreasonable, but then again, with a line like that she basically got me thinking, as well as happy at the same time knowing that she wants to be with me forever. Anyway, it was a good thing that after we searched more for the invitations in the internet, we came across some web sites that do printing of invitations and we were able to choose better options for the cards. We ended up choosing a particular design that both of us loved and the invitations should be coming within the next few days. Once we get them, of course we will be sending them to the people that we want to be there in our special day.

When I was in college I couldn’t believe my marketing and advertising professor’s age. No one will think that she’s on her late fifty’s. Her secret, aside from those anti aging treatments and daily exercise, she is also a vegan. She eats everything, from leaves, sprouts and even roots of any edible plant, huge amount of tofu, tons of fruits, gallons of milk, a variety of seafood, everything but meat. Aside from being intellectual, she makes sure her diet and looks are always on top of her priorities. She goes to our class with a unique sense of fashion since faculty doesn’t have their own uniform. On a Monday, she’s like a CEO with her satin and black suit, an aspiring teen ager on Tuesday with heels up to four inches, a gypsy on a Wednesday complete with all the accessories and her own version of dangling earrings, a conservative member of the faculty on Thursday and her own definition of a dress down Friday. If only she didn’t come from a well off family I guess everyone would have been dismayed seeing her outfit the moment she get out of her red BMW I think it’s not just her style that I’m trying to emulate but her whole personality that I do really look up to.
